It’s business as usual for Coldplay, despite inadvertently outing an alleged affair during their Massachusetts concert, although their kiss camera was omitted from the show’s highlights.

The four-piece band has been making headlines since their viral kiss camera at the Massachusetts leg of their “Music of the Spheres” tour. This unwittingly exposed the alleged affair between Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot.

This led to the tech company’s board of directors launching a “formal investigation” into the incident, with Byron resigning from his post on Saturday, July 19. Meanwhile, Cabot was earlier “put on leave,” however, it remains unknown if she remained in her position.

“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation,” the company said in a statement on LinkedIn.

Coldplay has remained mum on the incident. Despite this, photo and video highlights of their two-night concert were posted on the band’s social media platforms.

The comments section of Coldplay’s posts was filled with netizens poking fun at the viral kiss cam, with many joking about the band “missing” an important highlight from their show.

Others also quipped about the band releasing “four singles” during the show, referring to Byron, Cabot, and their respective partners.

Coldplay visited the Philippines for their “Music of the Spheres” tour at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan in January 2024.

The concert also made rounds on the internet after frontman Chris Martin made an impromptu song about the heavy traffic, thanking the audience for braving through the “bulls****” to see them perform.

Another noteworthy moment was the Philippines recording a low wristband return rate of 87%. Before the show, concertgoers were given LED wristbands, which they had to return after it ended./mcm
